Theodore Roosevelt

"Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far."

On October 27,1858 a great man was born and his name was Theodore Roosevelt. He was a U.S. President, an orator, a statesman, a historian, a cowboy, an explorer, a hunter, a naturalist, a humanitarian, and a philanthropist. As you can see Theodore went to great lengths to become a world-renowned person. He lived to be about 61 years of age (which was pretty old for those days). He was able to win the Nobel Peace Prize during his years of Presidency. He was very physically fit as well as mentally fit. He was an incredible man with so many talents.

He was much like other Presidents, because all or most of the presidents showed some sign of leardership in college or business. He can be compared to an artist, all presidents can. It was like a President was painting a picture of the United States but never finished, so when a new President came along that President would paint over what the United States should be like. Theodore Roosevelt was very creative person. He planned the huge project of digging the Panama Canal. He was a dependent person. He had others help him in his college years. He was a humanitarian. He was president and had a "Big Stick" policy in international affairs.Theodore Roosevelt will be remembered as one of our greatest Presidents.

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do
is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing."
