Bitty Bunyan

Bitty Bunyan was born on July 1, 1818, in the woods of North Dakota. Her parents were worried they would never find her even though her hair was bright as the sun. It turned out she was as small as the head of a pin. That must have been the reason it took them one year to find Bitty. She was sitting in Paul Bunyan’s palm. He was Bitty’s brother.

A year earlier Paul had moved to Arizona. One night a wizard named Johemo put a curse on Paul. The wizard said, "Gogala gogala goganite." And the curse was on! Paul started to sit on houses and eat cattle

It took Bitty B., as Bitty now called herself; an hour to decide she must do something, but there was still a problem. Paul was in Arizona, but Bitty was in North Dakota. She looked at a map and wondered, "How in tarnation am I going to get to Arizona? It takes me a week to get there on the map." On her journey to Arizona she asked people, "Have you seen a 55-foot man, he goes by Paul?" Most people thought she was joking, but one child took her seriously. He said, "My name is Johemo the Second. I believe he went thataway."

It took her one year to get to Arizona. She decided to jump into Paul’s mouth while he was eating, because she would have a life-time food supply. After she jumped into his mouth she regretted it; Paul was rolling down the Grand Canyon for fun. She rolled out of his mouth and found herself stuck and drowning in the Colorado River. She hoped Paul would save her.

Six minutes later, Paul cannonballed into the river. Seeing this was her chance, she ran up Paul’s nose. Then Bitty ran into his brain and erased the curse. she did this by saying, "Etinagog alagog alagog." Bitty was coughed out into Paul’s hand.

Twenty-one years later, she married Mike Fink, the king of the Mississippi River keel-boatmen. They lived happily in Tombstone, Arizona, as farmers.
